Do you take my insurance? Bolt Eye Group Riverdale

We accept many vision and medical plans; check your coverage when you book. Tell us your plan name when you book online and we will check your benefits before your visit.

Plans we take in Riverdale

Vision plans: Most vision plans, including VSP, EyeMed, Davis Vision and Spectera.

Medical plans: Medicare, Medicaid and most medical insurance.

Medicaid: Yes, our Riverdale office takes Medicaid.

Plans change. Always tell us your plan name so we can check.

Vision plan or medical plan?

  • Vision plan (like VSP or EyeMed): pays for your yearly check-up and helps pay for glasses or contacts.
  • Medical plan (like Medicare or Blue Cross): pays when you come in for a health problem, like dry eye, an eye infection, glaucoma or diabetes.

Not sure which one to use? Tell us why you are coming in. We will pick the right plan for you.

Medicare

Medicare pays for the health part of a medical eye visit. It does not pay for the refraction (the part that finds your glasses prescription), so there is a small fee for that. Some Medicare Advantage plans do cover it. Tell us your plan name when you book online and we will tell you before your visit.

FSA and HSA

We take HSA and FSA cards, and CareCredit. You can use them for exams, glasses and contacts. Many FSA plans end on December 31, so use your money before it runs out.

No insurance?

Book online and ask for self-pay pricing; we will tell you the price before your visit.
