Dr. Susan Reimbold founded our five eye care offices in Georgia and Tennessee. We're named for Bolt, the extra-toed Maine Coon who started it all.
Our story
Why we do eye care differently.
Dr. Susan Reimbold has practiced optometry in the Atlanta area since 1997. She built Bolt Eye Group around a simple idea: you should see what your doctor sees. That means advanced imaging, time to explain it, and care that keeps going between visits.

Several of our offices have long histories in their communities. Lawrenceville was Lawrenceville Family Eyecare, founded by Dr. Mehdi Kazemzadeh more than twenty years ago, and he still leads it. Today all five share Bolt Eye Group’s doctors, imaging and specialty services.
Meet Bolt
Yes, we are named after a cat.
Bolt is a polydactyl Maine Coon with 26 toes, registered with TICA (The International Cat Association). He rides in a stroller, travels through airports and has never met a waiting room he did not like.
