Why it matters
Myopia is more than needing stronger glasses.
Myopia (nearsightedness) usually starts in childhood and gets worse as the eye grows longer. A longer eye doesn’t just see worse. It also has a higher lifetime risk of retinal detachment, glaucoma and myopic macular degeneration. Slowing that growth in childhood protects vision for life.

DreamSculpt Ortho-K
Custom rigid lenses your child wears only while sleeping. They gently reshape the cornea overnight, so your child sees clearly all day without glasses or contacts. They are also designed to slow eye growth.

What age can my child start?
Many children start as soon as their myopia is found and begins to progress. Your doctor will check whether your child is ready to handle lenses, and parents help a lot in the beginning.
Is DreamSculpt Ortho-K safe for kids?
Yes, when it’s fitted and followed carefully. This type of lens has been used for many years. Like any contact lens, it needs good cleaning habits and regular follow-ups, and we teach you and your child exactly how to care for the lenses.
Will my child still need glasses?
With DreamSculpt Ortho-K, most children see clearly during the day without glasses or contacts. Your doctor will tell you what to expect for your child’s prescription.
Is myopia management offered in Riverdale?
Not at this time. DreamSculpt Ortho-K and myopia control are offered in Canton, East Cobb, Lawrenceville and Johnson City.
