Dr. Ta checks your prescription carefully, measures your eye pressure and examines the front and back of each eye. For $39, every patient also gets retinal and optic nerve photos plus a corneal topography map. She reviews the images with you so you understand your results.
Two OCT glaucoma scans are included in that $39 when you choose an in-office telehealth visit.

Near and far vision, without reading glasses
Multifocal contact lenses can let you read and see distance clearly with no readers for most tasks.
If you're over 40 and constantly reaching for reading glasses, ask about multifocal soft lenses or monovision contacts. Both are designed for presbyopia, the normal loss of close-up focus.
We fit trial lenses first and fine-tune at a follow-up visit.

Scleral lenses for keratoconus
Keratoconus thins and bulges the cornea, and regular glasses stop helping. Scleral lenses for keratoconus vault over the cornea on a cushion of saline for smoother vision. Dr. Ta fits scleral lenses at our Riverdale office.
DreamSculpt Ortho-K for kids
Have a nearsighted child? DreamSculpt Ortho-K is orthokeratology: custom Ortho-K lenses worn overnight reshape the cornea so kids see clearly during the day, and the approach is widely studied for slowing myopia.
