Read your phone and see the road, no readers needed

Multifocal contact lenses are a favorite with Smyrna patients who don't want to carry reading glasses.

Each lens combines near and distance powers, and many wearers manage most of their day without readers. Some people do better with monovision, one eye set for distance and the other for near.

We'll try lenses on your eyes, ask how they work at home and at work, and adjust at follow-up.

What your visit includes

  1. Welcome

We greet you, confirm your coverage and answer questions.

  2. Imaging and pressure

Every patient has a pressure check. Our $39 imaging adds retinal photos and a corneal map.

  3. Doctor review

Your doctor refines your prescription and walks you through each image.

  4. Frames and lenses

Opticians help you pick a style. Lenses are edged on site, and each pair is inspected three times before pickup.

Choose an in-office telehealth visit and the same $39 adds two OCT glaucoma scans. More about our comprehensive exams.

DreamSculpt Ortho-K for Smyrna kids

Our DreamSculpt Ortho-K orthokeratology lenses are worn while your child sleeps and gently reshape the cornea, so school and sports happen without glasses. Ortho-K lenses are also widely studied for slowing myopia. Myopia-control soft lenses and glasses are other options.

Scleral lenses for keratoconus

Scleral lenses for keratoconus give an irregular cornea a smooth, fluid-filled surface to see through. We map the cornea, try diagnostic lenses and design a custom pair, then teach you to handle them.

Smyrna patient FAQs

How far is the East Cobb office from Smyrna?

About 9.7 miles from Smyrna City Hall on King Street, roughly 19 minutes without traffic. The route follows Spring Road and Windy Hill Road to Cobb Parkway (US-41) north, then the Marietta Parkway loop toward Sewell Mill Road.

Does Dr. Nayee live nearby?

Yes. Dr. Jaymini Nayee lives in Smyrna with her family, and she leads our East Cobb office full-time.

What age can kids start DreamSculpt Ortho-K?

It depends on the child's eyes and maturity more than a set age. DreamSculpt Ortho-K is orthokeratology: Ortho-K lenses are worn only at night. Dr. Nayee checks whether your child is a good candidate and trains the whole family on lens care.

Do you accept Medicaid?

No. Medicaid is not accepted at our East Cobb office. We do accept VSP, EyeMed, Davis Vision, Spectera and other vision plans, plus Medicare and most major medical plans.

Are multifocal contacts worth trying?

For many people over 40, yes. Multifocal contacts let you see near and far without reading glasses for most tasks. A fitting with trial lenses shows how well they work for your eyes before you commit.
